That is a good point about keeping a log book.
This law discriminates against all boaters in Florida. Think about the disappearing marinas. Just this year, three marinas in Brevard county closed that I know of. That means that approximately 200 boats will be forced out. Where are they supposed to go?
At the FWC "public input" meeting in Cape Canaveral about 10 local boaters turned out to speak against this proposed legislation.
There was one landowner who spoke against the boaters saying that they wanted a law to mandate that they should use anchors large enough so that a boat could never drag. Of course that's ludicrous.
Also, another landowner accused all cruiser's of polluting the waters, also absurd, since they are closest to the water. This was not even the subject of the meeting.
The FWC has an agenda and I seriously doubt that they care about the boater's input.
