There's some fellow on the net each morning urging people to go down there in their dinks, tie up, pay $5 (to whom it is not entirely clear) and go shopping at Publix or K-Mart.
Some other fellow claims that, if you do so, you may be charged with trespassing on a construction site, which is a felony in Florida, apparently.
I went down to have a look, and there appears to be a construction site with cranes where the tie-up should be.
This is very difficult to understand.
Here are my thoughts:
(1) If the owner of the dink tie-up is willing to allow dinks to come at $5 a pop, why doesn't he put up a small sign with instructions? I would happily pay $5 for that service, even with the proviso that it was only for Publix and K-Mart.
(2) The fellow threatening felonious trespassing appears to be a small business owner who wants to run an exclusive water taxi to Publix. I would happily pay $5 for his service, also, though exclusive access seems rather un-American and anti-competitive.
