Happy St. Patricks Day!
When in Marathon, don't miss the Sunday night jam sessions at Boot Key Harbor's Dockside Bar & Grill. The weekly jam sessions are a longtime tradition at Dockside, headlined for nearly 25 years by Rocky "Rocketman" Hudson and the Florida Straits Band.
After a bit of a break and a return with an
every other week schedule, the jam sessions have now returned to Dockside with their every Sunday night jam to continue their long-running tradition. Locals and visitors would simply have it no other way!
The Jam Sessions are open mike events. Visiting jammers and local talents play and sing their hearts out up on stage. It is always a treat to be there when the jammin' is going on because you never know who might show up as a surprise guest to bring down the house and rock the Dock!
Dockside's owner and my dear friend, Lance Becker, tells me that a brand new dinghy dock will soon be added. Touting over 120 linear feet dedicated to the ease of access to Dockside for those traveling by dinghy, the addition of the dinghy dock is just the kind of welcome mat boaters in the Harbor have been waiting for!
Be you there for sipping a sunset cocktail, dining at Dockside's wonderful open air restaurant (Aussie Chef "Too Tall" Lee has a fabulous menu and prime rib to die for on Wednesday and Saturday nights), or for a night on the town full of dancing or listening to the blues -- everyone is welcomed at The Dockside.
It's where the locals hang out and the mood is truly downhome and the essence of the spirit called Keysy, so please..."Come As You Are."
See you at Dockside!
Big Hugs, Charmaine
