Hi all,
To make a long story shot, I was dating a 45
year old doctor from Boston. I am 31 from CT.
He told me he was married very young and his
marriage ended a while ago. He has a 13 year
old son who lives in Providence, RI with whom
he spends the weekends with.
Now, for some reason I though to myself, what
if this man is still married and just lives
in Boston during the week to be near his job
and goes back home to Providence during the weekends (although I never had any tangible
reason to believe that).
So this is what I did. I got the phone number
for his old house in Providence where the ex-wife
of wife (I don't know) lives with the son. I want
you to tell me in this converstation if it sounds
like they are still together. I called on a
Thursdsay morning and the wife answered. She
was very nice to me but uneasy throughout the
whole converstion.
ME: HI THIS IS MARY FROM BORDERS BOOKS AND MUSIC
CALLING FOR MR. SMITH.
AN UNEASY TONE).
IN AN UNEASY TONE).
I THEN WAS QUIET FOR A LITTLE TO SEE IF
SHE WOULD SAY OKAY I'LL TAKE THE MESSAGE
BUT SHE DIDN'T. THERE WAS JUST SILENCE.
SO FINALLY I CAME BACK IN AND SAID
TRY THE OTHER PHONE NUMBERS HE LEFT ME?
THAT WOULD BE BEST.
TRADITIONAL MARRIED SENSE OR NO. TELL ME
ANYTHING. WHAT CONCLUSIONS CAN YOU DRAW FROM
THIS. WHY OR WHY NOT. BETH.
