I am going through the same thing and that is the only advice that people can give......The sad truth is that one will always finish first, one always moves on first just as one will die first, these things never happen together or simultaneously.... relationships never end happily, not even for the person who chose to leave... But what are you going to do, be alone forever, you'll eventually move on and find someone new, then maybe you'll be the one that leaves....
