The same thing happend to me on 12/11/04. My girlfriend of 8 1/2 years and fiance for the last 4 months just left me out of the blue. She was 16 when we got together and she is now 25. Her reason was she had not experianced life on her own because she was so young when we got together and wants her own apartment and no one to answer to. It seemed a valid reason to me. Then a week later i found out she was having an affair with a maried guy with 2 kids that she works with. I was devistated all over again. I know the guy and he is realy nice, he even shook my hand and said hi when me and my ex were at her work's Christmas a few days before she left. I understand why she did not tell me the truth, she loved me and could not hurt me with the whole truth. I still love her so much and would take her back and forgive her in a heart beat, but I know I only feel like this because it is so soon since this happend. I some times feel anger towards her but then i feel she is not herself and I feel sorry for her. Is is still a total shock. Just a week before this happend we were picking out wedding dresses from a catalog and booking our honeymoon cruise. We had such a tight relationship, she was my best friend and we treated each other so good for all the years. To me it seemed to get better as the years went on. I know she was 100% commited to me for 8 of the 8 1/2 years. She just flipped out. I just want he to realize the mistake she has made. There is no future in a relationship with a married guy with kids. I do know I will heal & you too will heal over time and every thing happens for a reason....We can be strong.
