Posted by Michael I work in retail and about a year and a half ago this girl, Elizabeth, started working there. She had a BF, but we'd talk and stuff, she'd tell me about problems they were having or whatnot, we'd usually just bs when we worked together. I liked her, thought she was a great girl. We hung out twice when her and her bf were having probs, nothing ever happened. Fast forward to late Janurary of this year and they break up. On velentines day, I ask her if she'd like to have an anti-valentines day dinner or somethng after I got off, she said maybe. We ended up hanging out with another girl that night, so there were 3 of us. Other girl left and Liz and I sat in the parking lot of where we worked and talked for 4 hours. She was talking about how she didnt want to go to work at 5am (it was 4am at the time), so I invite her to stay at my house if she wants and just call in. She comes over and we talked for a bit and I kiss her. We go to sleep in the same bed. I wake up go to work, get home, shes still there. We hung out that day, and kissed a lil and she stayed that night. Over the course of the next 4 months, she expressed concern about us moving too fast and that maybe she wasnt ready for a relationship this soon. She didnt want to get close. She was afraid of being hurt, and of hurting me. Finally, 3 days ago, we were on the phone and she sounded really distant, I ask her whats wrong and she says that shes sorry, she just can't do it anymore. She's not into it as much as I am and doesnt want to hurt me down the road. She said she was at a point in her life where she's not happy. I didn't make her unhappy, she just wasnt happy. She wants to still be friends. We talked a few hours later and then about 2 hours on the computer. We talked pretty heavily about it and she reassured me that it wasnt me, I was a great guy and too perfect, she just couldnt put in what I was putting in at this moment. She wanted me to promise to be her friend cause she didnt want to lose me completely. We talked for a few minutes the next day and I havent heard from her in about a day. I sent her a text to tell her dad happy fathers day for me, and no response. She signed on for 10 minutes and didnt say anything to me. Not sure what to do...maybe she'll get on and talk to me tonight. I dont know, it's tearing me up inside, I really care for her. My family liked her, and her family liked me so there were no probs yet. Hopefully I'll just give her some time and space to herself and maybe she'll want to try again. Any opinions?
