Posted by Rick on January 17, 2007, 9:53 pm Most of the players drafted under his control fit into 2 categories. 1. Players who showed promise only to have injuries crippled their development (Westbrook, Abrahms, Russell, Fair, Crowell) or 2. Huge busts (Roque, Claiborne, Gibson, McDougle). It's almost as if Millen inherited a team that hadn't had a draft pick in 4 years.
During Ross's tenure the Lions had 28 draft picks. Out of those, 6 were good enough to currently make an NFL roster. Unfortunately for the Lions 5 of them are on other teams, leaving career backup Jared Devries as the only player still making a solid contribution to our worthless team.
