Ross was HC form 97 to 00. In that time Brady, Manning, Urlacher, Mike Brown, and Tarik Glenn were drafted. While the volume of players who are still making a solid impact with their original teams isn't as high as I expected, the main reason these playoff teams excel are because of the those players (Saints the exception). Also take into account that many players they drafted went on to sign major deals with other teams while the Lions biggest losses during that time were castoffs Reuben Droughns and Charlie Batch.
