Injury and age take tolls on us all. I'm not sure the full extent of his injuries, and I don't know if they can just be rehabbed or whether surgery is required. He had some outbursts against Atlanta management, which may have signed his exit papers (though I thought most of his troubles left with Petrino).
Alge is more of a pass catching TE than a blocker anyway, so I'm not sure he fits what the Lions are looking for.
