A faster version of Zach Thomas, according to one scout. "I'd take him in a minute," Brocato said. "Tough guy. Run. Makes plays all over the field. I'd play him in the middle and tell him to play. I wouldn't teach him all that stuff. He's no grab guy. He'll hit you." Led the nation in solo tackles in '07 with 120. "Probably the most instinctive guy," one scout said. "Quick, fast, makes a gang of tackles. Just the size hangs him up some. He can't take on inside at all. He's so instinctive he can slip things but he misses a lot of tackles, too, because he's so short-armed and out of control some. He will have games where he will have 15 tackles and five misses." Finished with 447 tackles, 12 sacks and two takeaways in 50 games (46 starts).
