There are upsides to the Lions,
Phantom, just 'tween you and me,
Although, since '57 we've tanked,
Somewhat you will agree.
But we've spoiled some winning seasons,
And dashed some play off hopes,
But with Sims, Sanders and Hansen,
And other stars all helped us cope.
Those bright spots in the darkness,
Guess you could call them stars,
But it's betting Red my bookie,
That's where the Lions won my bars.
If you recall, I've won a bundle,
Betting Red against the line,
'N when I've put them on the nose,
Well, Phan, I have done real fine.
If you stroll into the pool hall,
Saying, "I wanna bet the Kitties."
Ol' Red will come off of that stool,
'N what he says it won't be pretty.
They treat me, at the pool hall,
Like the preacher's wife does a hooker.
"Say, Sprawl the only bet we'll take,
Is when you're playing snooker.
Right now don't want the superbowl,
Division title or other goodies.
Just give us two winning seasons,
So Lisa has to buy a Lion hoodie.
