At this point I don't think it'd hurt too much to take a flyer on Stanton. The season really is over, so why not play some young guys just to see what you have. Stanton and Orlovsky seem to be pretty much the same guy anyway, ie. neither really have much promise in the league. However, Stanton seems to at least have some intangibles that could make him a decent backup or stopgap until the o-line gets upgraded and a good QB can be brought in via free agency or drafted and groomed for the job.
I'm hopeful with Millen gone that whoever comes in as GM will be able to cultivate some talented players. The team still stinks with Millen gone, but at least we have hope again!
