The last I read is Colletto was demoted to offensive line coach.
I have nothing against Mayhew, but I would have preferred the Lions to seek assistance from the NFL similar to what the Falcons did last year. I see this as a WCF ego trip, where he believes he is so much smarter than the rest of the NFL.
The most important hire in his history of owning the Lions, and he took the path of least resistance. Promoting Lewand and Mayhew is just lazy management and perhaps Mayhew will turn it around but I have my doubts.
