Alas people, I bring tidings of great joy. A new year is at hand and I can promise you a few good things to hang your hats on.
1. We will win a game in the new year. Ahhhh, you'll excuse me if I don't step out on a limb and say which game that will be but I am sure we will win at least one game.
2. We will have a new coach who will not hire his son-in-law to be the defensive coach of our team and even if he does? He will fire the son of a gun if he sucks...LOL
3. We will have a few new faces on our team who will be full of raw talent and excitement. They will breathe a new hope into our "old players" who are still stunned over what has happened to them during this current dismal year.
4. We will have a new coach who will know coming in that there is no where to go but up with this organization. He can finish the coming year 4-12 and it will look far better than what we just saw of this season. Gosh I hope its closer to 8-8 though...LOL
5. Lastly I'm hoping the new year brings us peace ( people actually caring about each other and getting along ), prosperity ( gas prices that stay where they are right now would be a nice start to that ), and Joy In Motown ( The Wings repeat, the Tigers wake up long enough to realize the pitching needs and get it done, The Pistons dump "No answer at all" and get either Lebron or Dwayne Wade, and the Lions who go from the laughing stock of football to respectability at last ).....
Whatever the new year has in store for us, I hope all of you have a wonderful new year and are healthy, wealthy, and wise!!!
