kowalski is saying that the Lions are cutting Leigh Bodden. IMO, for a team looking for playmakers on D, this is a huge mistake.
for one, we're going to play more man coverage with the new coaching staff. Bodden was fine in man coverage, he struggled with playing the T2. so we just created one more hole to fill on a defense made of swiss cheese.
for two, we've officially given away Shaun Rogers for Andre Fluellen. nothing against Flu, but this isnt an even trade by any stretch of the imagination.
i'm not happy.
