The Loins have traded Jon Kitna to Dallas, in exchange for Henry, the starting cornerback on the right side of the Cowpies defense all 16 games last season. Although this trade really looks good at first glance, it leaves me wondering why Dallas would trade a starter for a backup QB. Have they got a lot of depth at the CB position, or has this guy proven to be a dud? I don't remember the Dallas defense to be very good against the pass in 2008. Anyone know more?
The management team has been attempting some trades, and nearly pulled off two others. I hate to say this, but it ALMOST looks like they know what they are doing.
Backup RB Maurice Morris signed a three year deal for about $7,000,000. He was the backup to Shaun Alexander for most of his career, and would have started last season except for injuries. He is good for depth, I suppose, if he can stay healthy and hang onto the football. The Loins are looking at other FAs the next few days, too.
