I am really quite surprised that the Broncos are giving up on their young and talented QB so early in the year. I figured it would go at least until the end of the month just before the draft, and that eventually both sides would work to solve the problem. Then again, could this be a nasty April Fool's Day joke by the owner of the Broncos?
I suspect he will end up elsewhere. However, if the Broncos are angry enough with him, what better place to send him than this franchise of defeat and frustration? The Loins certainly could give up some solid picks for him, that's for sure. Tampa Bay and the NY Jets could add some talent to their offers, and the Browns could include Brady Quinn in theirs. McDaniels might want him considering he played for Charlie Weiss and knows his offense already.
Can this old Loins fan actually see the Bobby Layne curse end during his lifetime - finally? Or, is this just going to end up another terrible "tease" to make the aching increase again? I suspect the latter.
