This being the best week of any season for most of us Loins fans, I wish to share an interesting rumor I heard this morning on the radio as I drove to and fro. It seems that the sports talk show caller has a son playing on a youth team with the son(s) of two NFL agents. The agents say that the Loins are going to draft Curry at number one, then trade the 20th pick to Cleveland for QB Brady Quinn. I like the first part of the rumor, but not the second.
With Curry's agent negotiating in Detroit and Mayhew's recently expressed very high opinion of both his ability and character, the rumor seems to have a wee bit of credence with me. Along with Culpepper's performance at the mini camp, this gives me some hope that the team will actually draft well and avoid Stafford at number one.
