Plummer, you are the master of the litotes (understatement)!
"There was a lot of musical talent in Michigan back then."
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Bill Haley "Father of Rock and Roll" grow up in Hiland Park, Michigan. My particular favorite from MI was Hank Ballard. He formed a group called the Midnighters. Back before your time Plummer!
Anyway, his songs: "Annie Had a Baby," "Work with Me Annie," "Annie's Aunt Fanny," and "Get It" were banned from most U.S. stations. I used to catch his songs from XERB a border blaster from Baja in Mexico. You may recall one of his big hits, "The Twist" later covered by Chubby Checker probably when you were around 9 or 10. I am guessing that you are ca. the time of the "Amboy Dukes" with guitarist Ted Nugent. Ummm...Madonna is also from MI. Plummer thanks for the stroll down memory lane.
How many days to our first season win?
