It'll take at least two seasons to get this thing respectable. WCF's insistense on letting Millen stay about 4 seasons too long set the club back tremendously. Still, I do like what I'm seeing. The effort is definitely there, even though there's no talent. And the coaches have good schemes too, unlike the Moronelli era.
Overall, I think this year will be better than last, although you can't get worse than 0 wins. Me thinks the Kitties will at least bang out 3-5 wins, most of which should come later in the year. Right now I don't think there's enough cohesion yet with both units to get things done. And this defense is definitely atrocious. Once that starts to improve, I think you'll see more competitive games. However, to be fair, the Saints are scoring Madden 10 video game style, and All Day Peterson is just a beast that can't be contained (although truthfully the Lions should've beaten the Viqueens both times last season). There will be some teams on the schedule that are ripe for the taking (St. Louis, Seattle, possibly the 49ers). Hopefully the Lions will have improved enough by then to take advantage of them.
