As a packer fan, I actually think the lions are taking the corerct approach here.
You have to sign a few guys to get over that losing threshold.
have to get some confidence back into the players and organization. You have to make winning back into a habit.
You have the QB IMO, you have the receiver and a decent RB.
the lines need to be shored up and you address that on the defensive side of the ball to an extent.
I think the team is starting to turn the corner. Glad you didn't get kampman to go along with KVB, but I think you are heading in the right direction for what it is worth.
If you could trade back in the draft from the 2nd overall pick, and use the first three picks on the lines, I think you would be doing AWESOME!
