well, OK, written like a true believer. Or typed. Whatever.
I just can't jump on the ol' bandwagon this year. I'm gettin' old, the legs won't make the leap anymore, and it hurts too much when you get bounced off about mid-season.
I hope you are right, Net (may I call you "Net"?). But I will watch, and possibly even enjoy the season, figuring for about six wins, tops. If they do better, that's great, but eight wins don't get you anything in this here league anyway.
I agree that we are going in the right direction, but I can start a marathon, and I'd be going in the right direction, but my train would run out of track pretty quick.
Two years, and we could be decent. Two more, and we could make some noise. I think that's pretty realistic, IF we keep the GM, the coaches, and continue to draft and persue FA's well. I think that, more than anything else, we need continuity. No more revolving doors, or revolving schemes. In the words of the esteemed Bush Senior, stay the course. Didn't do anything for him, but there ya go. Ain't nothin' perfect.
Hope i'm wrong, but I hardly ever am. I remember I was wrong about something back in '63, but I can't remember what it was
