The secondary is REALLY bad and most teams are going to give up on the run and just throw it. So, if the Lions can't put up 30 points then they aren't even going to be in the games, because the defense will be worn down.
I am leery of the sophomore jinx for Stafford. The only QB I can think of who didn't have one was Peyton Manning. But, man, from what everyone is saying he's been really good in OTAs.
Hope is the one thing we Michiganders are solid on. Our economy may stink, our Pistons may be falling apart, they may be turning tarred roads into gravel, we may have blizzards or tornadoes, etc...but the Lions have conditioned us year after year to have hope.
I just don't want to see the Lions get blown out anymore. I'm tired of them being the laughingstock of the league. If they do go 9-7 I would be compelled to buy Lion gear and tickets again. And I haven't saved up any mad money for that, so I'm going to say they go 7-9. ... And I would be happy with that.
