Lions made no bones about it, they were going BPA from the git-go. They've been doing this since they have been here. I would've liked to see them draft for need here, but they ain't gonna do it. A replacement for Burleson down the road is not a bad thing, and they may have thought that the corners that were left had no more potential at that point than what they already had, or they may have had their eye on some that were going to go farther down, just as they did. What if one or two of those turn out to be late pick gems, just as you said? In a couple of years we might be calling them geniouses (sp).
Since Meyhew and Schwartz have been here, they have done pretty well. we did go to the platoffs, after all. Considering what they inherited, I think that's progress.
no running back, though. That bothers me a little. But there are a lot of things yet to happen after the draft. I hope.
