My gr gr grandparents, Isaac Hemminger (b. about 1832) and Mary Jane Craft (b. about 1834) married in Bangor Twp., Saginaw Co. in July 1854. They had one daughter (that I know about), Ella May Hemminger b. 1862. Isaac died in the Civil War (1864-1865). I would like to find out more about them (birth places, parents, etc). The Bible pages I have say Isaac was related to Lewis Hemminger, but I've gone back in Lewis's family history to the 1500s and can't find Isaac. I have Mary Jane's diary from 1863, although the ink is a bit hard to read now. If anyone could provide some clues, I'd be very grateful.
