(Ch Darkside's Reflections Of War x Ch Darkside's Off The Wagon)

It is with great sadness to share that we had to let our Madonna go yesterday. She had gotten ill last week, seemed to have gotten better and then relapsed. We were so hoping she would have been with us into her dotage (was looking forward to seeing her hobbling around at 11 years or so of age ), but alas that was not to be. This house is just so quiet without her and her not-so-gentle snoring (should have taped that snoring so we would have had it now). Andy would get a headache from it, but it would lull me to sleep ... The sound of her snoring always told me that all was right in her world at that moment in time. She was actually the first fawn we ever kept (us being brindle folks) -- Andy used to refer to her as "spare parts". We so miss her.
