Hello all,
My wife and I have decided to add a new member to the family, but this time around it will have 4 legs! We have spent a great deal of time talking, researching, and thinking about the best type of dog to get, and we decided on the English Mastiff. That said, we are trying to find a top-tier breeder that we could chat with about a future puppy. We live in Northern VA and wanted to find someone within 2-4 hours of us...we just like the idea of being relatively close to the breeder of choice.
Now, we don't really have any plans to show or breed...however, we really want to find someone who has a long history of having well tempered and successful dogs. I do plan on working with the dog for possible future use in Therapy work and/or obedience.
So, I know the general response might be "there are tons of great breeders", and I have no doubt that is true, but perhaps someone might be willing to point us in the right direction to a handful of exceptional ones in/around our area. Thanks for any and all input...
