Since I am older than dirt, I do remember the Red Baron days. In fact, I go way back before that. I got my my first detector in the late Sixties and spent a lot of time using the earliest BFO's and TR's.
Now, as far as being able to make a PI that could be used for both low conductors and high conductors, that isn't that difficult. The battery life would suffer when in the high conductor mode with the present design.
The primary change to switch between the two is simply change the pulse width. At some point, I will try to conduct some tests to see just what might have to be done to obtain a noticeable increase.
My problem is, I am getting old, tired and broken down. Time wounds all heals you know. So, it is harder and harder to stay focused on a project today.
