Reg,
Sounds like the new White's machine may or may not have various improvements on the GS5 which would make it able to detect deeper and discriminate better.
The Pulse Devil/Nemesis is still a very uncertian proposition due to numerous delays and the basic disadvantages of a one man effort.
You have alluded in the past to another project underway, including the last sentence in the post above:
"So, just be a little patient, what you are wanting just might be available very soon and this doesn't take into account the Nemesis.
I wonder if this is a hint???
Candidates for a "Third Front" might include the following:
First Texas - Dave Johnson has designed a PI machine previously.
Garrett - Apparently they have fixed some of the noise issues with the Infinium. They could lose the heavy case and make mods to optimize it for land use with enhanced discrimination.
Eric Foster - If he wants to continue to manufacture and sell detectors for land use he will probably need to create some "daylight" between his detectors and White's.
Goerge Payne - Still active? I believe he had a PI design which never reached production.
Of course, it's likely you were referring to the White's effort, but I do recall a post of yours where you indicated that there was another project (not White's or Pulse Devil) at work.
Rick K.
