If you want to prove or disprove iron masking, there is a simple test. Lay a coin on the ground, then on top of it put a wood block, the thickness of a 2x4. Then put the piece of iron on the board directly above the coin. You can use what ever size iron you desire, staple, nail, etc. I think you will be suprised with the results. Most people that try and show how good their detector sees thru iron usually just put the coin close to the iron, on the same level. Even if they come out with a disc. PI, it doesnt mean that it can see thru the iron and pick up targets directly below. If they can do that, I would definitely buy one. Just my thoughts. Mark
