If you even "remotely" wanted to "occasionally" hunt nuggets, and expected your same coin machine to do both tasks, then your options are very limited. There are a few "cross-over" machines, but bascially, the goals of each pursuit are different. Nugget machines have to be made to find teeeennnsssy pinhead sized nuggets. The average coin-hunter wants to avoid BBs and paper-clips, and prefers a machine engineered to go for coin sized objects deep. You see how the electronic goals of each are opposed?
But that said, if you must have a cross-over unit, the Whites MXT comes to mind. Or, consider getting 2 machines. But if you're just going to goof around now and then (and don't wish to pony up big bucks right now), the MXT will work as a cross-over.
