The LEDs were a crude battery check that was not supposed to see production so I'm not totally sure what the final battery check will be like.
The TDI is Minelab coil compatible, so you have about 80 coils at your disposal. But nothing truly small. The smallest I'm aware of are the 5x10 Coiltek Joey and the Minelab 8" round mono. The Coiltek Joey would have the narrowest window. Coiltek made a 3" round coil/probe but it is no longer offered. There is a Coiltek probe/switch combo that will work on the unit.
The prototype had a wonderfully modulated audio. Deeper mean fainter softer response. The audio on the unit is very reminiscent of analog VLF.
