I have a British co-worker here who is retiring in October back to the UK. He has an nice house on the south coast and thanks to his years in the construction industry contacts which will get him on to building sites.
He's a total beginner and I want to help him out with a cheap starter detector (probably used) good for salt sand and inland sites in the UK. I have considered a Fisher 1236-X2, a CZ-6, a ML X-Terra 50. What else is there to recommend for $300-400?
