Hello Sam, I've owned several TF-900 detectors and currently have the TM-800 which is the same detector only under a different name, It's a long story why these two share the same electronics but Discovery did indeed make the TM-800 for Whites before they parted. Now, Whites has it's own two-box (TM-808) and Discovery electronics makes and sells the TF-900. You purchased the right two-box, The TF-900 & TM-800 have two SAT speeds (Fast-Slow) while the TM-808 has only one. You mentioned you have extreme mineralization, I would recommend using fast SAT speed and reducing the sensitivity and of course conducting a proper GB and keep the Two-Box level with the terrain. It really takes allot of time using a two-box under different ground conditions to eventually understand and maximize it's performance with using each feature, I've been using a two-box for about 18-20 years and have gotten to were I can find even the smallest finds. Those whisper signals you may be missing now will eventually come in crystal clear, It takes time and allot of patience and the more time you put in the smaller the finds will be or the deeper weaker larger signals are now within in reach. A two-box is one of those tools a treasure hunter will eventually need, It may sit in the closet for months on end but eventually it's there for those special rare opportunities. My last recent two-box hunt was about a year ago, A friend (Tom Ca.) called and mentioned a two box was needed to help in the recovery of parts from a military aircraft that had crashed in the 1940's. I don't remember the name of the aircraft but anyhow my two box did find some small parts including part of the cockpit with pieces of the pilots flight jacket infused in the twisted metal. Surprisingly, The Two-box even picked up the tiniest aircraft pieces of twisted metal and if I remember correctly they were about quarter size or even smaller. I'll enclose a few pics, Good luck with your new Two-box adventure. Remember, Put in the time and have patience Paul (Ca)
