Steve... Contact Keith Wills at "Brokendetector." I'm sure he has a manual. However, if all else fails I have one in my personal achives. However,
the controls are pretty straight-foreward. The only control that would give you concern would be the target level. And do not let the tilt switch
be left on acidentally. You can use rechargeables
if you wish as only .9V per cell is required to operate the X-80.

I was sorta involved with Compass back when Mr. Mack was then the marketing manager. But just
myopically involved with the "gold-scanner" line
when John Earle was the chief engineer.
