I am wondering if human technology has developed to the point that a gold detector has been developed? The reason I am asking is that my father hid 2 very expensive gold rings in his house, then passed away without telling anyone where they were. No one was ever able to find them. It's been 11 years. We are not even sure they are still in the house. No safty deposit box was ever discovered. I am starting to think the only way to ever find them is with a gold detector, but I have a feeling that if such technology exists it hasn't been released to the general public. I have little doubt that 50 years from now they'll be common place but has anything like this yet been developed? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
