I've had a lot of detectors that had excellent depth, and several that were praised on the forums as having great depth, but the only pennies of any kind I've found that were over 9 1/2 inches deep were found, in an area that had several inches of fill dirt added back in the 1960's or early 70's, with the Cointrax Baron with the 2.2 chip. That was using the Deepsearch mode and it only let me know there were targets down there, no ID of any kind.
