The Classics Randy mentioned can do it, especially with Mr Bill's mods which also add depth, so can the old Gold Mountain GMT 1650 and the Discovery Electronics Cointrax II. The CT II can be set to distinguish between large and small iron in both the Standard Discrimination disc mode and the Standard Discrimination all metal mode. The Standard Disc modes, both disc and all metal, have 100 steps that allow targets from zero disc up through zinc pennies to be set to give a staccato audio response, which includes setting it to give the staccato response on small iron but not large iron. It's kinda busy to listen to all the signals but it works. Both version 2.1 and 2.2 chips have that capability, but version 2.2 allows setting the volume and duration of the staccato responses so it's not too bad on the ears. The Cointrax II goes deeper than the Classics and 1650, and also has a Deepsearch mode that will really get down there but no audio or meter ID in that mode.
