It seems that the XP's have exactly what functionality I'm looking for. Independant Iron Disc and Manual Ground Balance. I suppose, due to their relatively high frequency, the XP's don't obtain the depth that the Advantage has? I continue to be suprised at the depth capabilites of the Advantage Pro but, I guess I can't have it all..just yet
I'm sure glad you said something about the 1270. Some of my ground is fairly tough and I was considering the 1270, but I think I still would have been left wanting in my grounds.
