Hi Tom,
That is correct, The Coin Scanner Pro 2 has an added Ground balance feature. I think that's about the only difference and like the Coin Scanner Pro model is a 2-filter.
Paul mentioned below you may have access to the pre-set GB pot from behind, If anything maybe you can adjust it for your soil if Keith can't add on the manual GB.
