No intention of turning this into an argument, but evidently I didn't make myself clear enough to be understood or you and I have far different perspectives, not only concerning how certain detector related products are promoted but also about small businesses in general. I had a photography business that included selling used photography equipment for over 20 years, and know literally dozens of people in this and surrounding towns who own small businesses, and if the rest of the country is like the small businesses in the tri state area here it's doubtful that one out of several thousand have websites, and the few that do don't have a forum dedicated to a specific product. From my perspective, comparing detector mfg's to 99.9 percent of small business owners isn't a valid comparison.
The content of the post you deleted was evidently in referrence to some of the stuff that happened in late 1997 and 1998. At least I assume it was as two of the guys from Texas who were involved at that time with the company in question came out here on two different occasions for relics hunts with myself and a couple of other local guys. What they said was almost identical to what was in the deleted post, and given the experience I had with the same company I have no reason to doubt them or what was in the post. As far as incentives, I've been offered two coils, from different mfgs, and a set of headphones, and was told I would be sent a detector for the field test I did of the BH Time Ranger upgrade a few years ago. I would probably have accepted the detector as the test took up a lot of time and involved a little expense, but evidently BH didn't care for what I said as it was never used and no detector was sent.
