Tom in CA,
This site is near Prescott AZ, west of Skull Valley. I did adjust the discrimination knob from just past on, to as far as it would go clockwise to screw cap. I was starting to make some interesting finds, but by 11:00 AM it hit 94 degrees and I had to call it a day.
About 5 years ago I gave my oldest son, who lives in Colorado a Whites Calssic IDX, with Mr. Bills mods on it. He has not used it in a couple of years and he is going to give it back to me. I plan on putting a 5.3 coil on that bad boy and hitting the old depot site this fall, when the weaterh cools down.
It will be an interesting to see how the Compass Coin Scanner Pro does against the moded Whites Classic IDX, man I wish I could find a good 6 inch coil for the Coin Scanner, that would make it a fair shoot out.
