It's hard to know what to believe. WHen they first came out I emailed them and asked about beach hunting and they said it wouldn't work in the saltwater environment if the beach was mineralized. Now I just read the advertisement at the link you provided and it says they tested a waterproof version on the beaches of Florida and found that their machine is the only machine that works on a black sand saltwater beaches of Florida. That seems like a contradiction to me. Plus I have hunted Florida Beaches and they are known for NOT being Mineralized. Now maybe somewhere in Florida there is a Heavily Mineralized Black Sand Beach I never ran across during the years when I was down there. So who knows what the real truth is. Pretty much the only thing you can do is buy one and see if it works in your section of the World
