Thanks for the feedback. This is year two with the MI for me. There has been no time to hunt this year and you are right about use it or loose it. It took a few minutes to get it right today. It really is a super coin hunter, you can't miss. It has also found the most rings/jewelery for time spent than any other machine I have used.
You could yank a few of the knobs off of the deck and still have a top drawer machine. The pitch adjustment is nice but it could be a once and forget it type of knob, like on the big box bandido, and put it right by the tune set screw ! If that machine had an adjustable notch window on top, super wow.
Metal detector reviews calls it a "cult following" machine. This is true only because there aren't a million of them out there. Most people don't believe how good of a unit it is.
