I've posted in other threads (for Teknetics Mark I users) about a field test I did on that detector the year it debuted, 1985. By request, for those who are unable to obtain back issues, I have scanned and converted the field test into PDF format which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
The report was written in the July 1985 issue of Western & Eastern Treasures magazine, Vol. 19, No. 7. The detector was not sent to me by the magazine to test back then. I was so excited and dead sure about the detector being a zenith in metal detector design that I independently purchased it, wrote the report and submitted it to the magazine hoping they would publish it. It may have been the first such test on the detector at that time. My test was instrumental in correcting an underdesign flaw with the searchcoil attachment.
Anyway, here is the link below. I hope it helps everyone out there still in love with this great detector. I have some very precious memories in the field with this machine. Thank you George!
