Boost mode.. is this a misnomer?

The blurb I read talks only about new DSP logic. "If" this is the only change there should be no increase in sensitivity to EMI.

Now if we can find out if there is a decrease in battery life on the LTD models compared to the originals there could be some guesses made IRT to other things going on.

Any guesses from the techies out there?
