If the detector is built as the patent claims, it is an IB detector using "Pulsed EMF" and that is the limit of Pulse in the mix.
An engineer aquaintance of mine (with patented detector(s) currently sold and used) pretty much agrees with the above.
I think Steve is 100% correct in that the patent claims and actual field use may be quite different. I would have to see PI depth at a site of my choosing to believe it.
