Well, I'd argue a smidge with you on that. You most certainly get more information about the target with the V3 than you can get with any other detector. So if a person was trying to skip as much aluminum as possible while still getting the gold I think the V3 is as good as you can get for now. It is not perfect and there is always the chance a passed aluminum item could have been gold. But I know where I hunt there are usually a few tabs that make up the bulk of the aluminum. If I passed on those and focused on the rarer signals I'd probably get a better ratio of finds.
We need someone like Clive Clynick to work on that. I'm just going to keep digging aluminum.
Really, the V3 is just a bells and whistles unit. Some people like dating Super Models! I'll play around a lot more with the customization once they get the computer interface out. Should not be too much longer I hope.
