Hi Bob,
When we got married my wife was embarrassed for me. We'd go to Hawaii and I'd hit the beach detecting, and she'd go sit somewhere else so people did not know she was with me. She associated metal detecting with goofy old guys wearing socks with their sandals.
Then she saw the gold coming in over the years. And the rings (ohhhh, can I have that one). So it has turned into "honey, get out there and get more gold"!
34 years - congratulations! I'm half there.
